What is Ferrodo?
Q: What is Ferrodo?

A: I have never come across this name in a materials context. A quick web search shows that Ferodo is a trade name for brake discs for automobiles etc. In some cases this is spelled Ferrodo. Several papers that come up in a search refer to Ferrodo materials e.g.
http://www.om.ugal.ro/AnnalsFasc8Tribology/pdf/2003/I-ANALE-25-DRUMEANU.pdf and in these papers they are referring to a friction material like that used in disc brakes without being specific. The actual material used by Ferodo for their brakes would be proprietary. Some general info on brake pad materials is at: http://www.answers.com/topic/brake-pad-1
