GeoRef

GeoRef, published by the American Geosciences Institute, contains more than 3.4 million abstract records from geoscience journals, books, maps, conference papers and more.  Records are indexed according to the GeoRef Thesaurus using controlled vocabulary terms, ensuring relevant search results.

Dating back to 1669 for North America and 1933 for the rest of the world, GeoRef includes all publications of the US Geological Survey and adds 100,000 records every year. Plus, with the Google mapping interface on Engineering Village, geologists can see where their results are geographically located.  With GeoRef on Engineering Village, researchers get comprehensive results faster.
